Roland/ Boss is the undisputed pioneer when it comes to guitar synthesizers/Guitar to midi. Since the late 1970s, Guitar Synth technology has been consistently developed and the teething problems such as slow tracking and false triggering have been successfully eliminated. With the current GM-800 Guitar Synthesizer the journey takes a huge step forward - the first Guitar Synth compatible with the Roland Zen-Core sound Engine, which provides a huge library of classic and contemporary synth sounds . The presets are completely editable and can be saved to 100 user presets . The pickup system has also been completely revised: the current GK-5 is significantly flatter than the previous model and is easier to assemble. The data is transferred via a newly developed stereo jack cable - no more annoying 13-pin DIN cable with unstable plugs!! In principle, the GM-800 is a mobile ZEN-Core sound module, compatible with Roland's flagship synthesizers such as the Fantom, Jupiter X and Juno X. The GM-800 has plenty of voices, up to 4 layer sounds + rhythm track can be used at the same time . There is a midi in/out interface on board, so that external midi expanders can also be controlled with the Boss GM-800. Data exchange for Zen Core Library and firmware updates takes place via USB. Also suitable for electric bass with the optional GK-5B.
