After the success of the AMP1 Mercury edition, which is primarily used in the classic rock sector, mastermind Thomas Blug has dedicated his latest trick to fans of harder sounds. The BluGuitar AMP1 Iridium edition is aimed primarily at hard rock and metal guitarists and comes in a stylish, matt black and road-friendly but lightweight aluminum enclosure.

The AMP1 Iridium edition offers a transparent CLEAN channel and the three independent overdrive channels VINTAGE, CLASSIC and MODERN. Also on board are boost and reverb , which can be operated via a footswitch , as well as an adjustable noise gate specially developed for metal sounds . The sound is of course amplified by the 100-watt nanotube tube power amplifier known from the previous model .

On the back there is the input, an FX loop and speaker outputs with 8 and 16 ohms. There is also a connection for the appropriate midi footswitch and a headphones/recording out with first-class speaker simulation, which can be used to record directly.

A little insider fact on the side: Erhan Mann, our resident technician, who some may already know from the development of the KONG 6810HW, was also significantly involved in the sound design of the AMP1 Iridium edition .
