About Joe Bonamassa

Joe Bonamassa needs no introduction; his career is certainly unique. Joe is an American blues and blues‑rock guitarist, singer, composer and songwriter. He learned to play guitar at the age of four from his father, who ran a music shop. By the age of twelve he was already playing with B. B. King, and at 14 he was invited to accompany a Fender event musically. After a band arrangement he launched a solo career that eventually made him world‑famous.
His first album, A New Day Yesterday, was released in 2000. After a concert tour to promote the album, Bonamassa and his fellow musicians returned to the studio in 2002 to record the next album So, It's Like That. The second album was noticeably more rock‑oriented than his other work and reached number one on the Billboard Blues charts. Over the following years and albums Joe and his band toured with B. B. King and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. In 2010 Joe Bonamassa joined forces with Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian to form the band Black Country Communion, which has released five albums to date.
Joe is not only a gifted guitarist but also a passionate collector of guitars, who has since amassed a huge collection of instruments from many different eras of music.
