E-drums offer a real space-saving and almost silent alternative to classic drums. In contrast to the acoustic drums, the electronic versions are drummed with drumsticks on rubber-like heads.

The complete package - an e-drum set
Many electronic drum kits are offered as a set. If you want to buy such a set, you can choose from a variety of different model variants and sizes. In addition to well-known names like Roland and Yamaha , Alesis and other manufacturers offer such sets.
Sound modules for e-drums
Once you have set up the rack and pads for the electronic drum set, the module for sound generation is still missing. The cable from the various pads are connected here. Depending on the equipment , you can choose between prefabricated sound sets or in-depth sound editing. All e-drum sets are delivered with such a sound module.
Differences in snare pads
As with the acoustic snare drum, there are different sizes. Snare pad heads are available as a normal or mesh head type . Simple snare models have two zone trigger for the playing surface and rim. The large V- pad variant from the Roland V-Drums series even comes with a real shell. Your playing surface is high resolution and has accurate position detection - no more simple two-zone trigger technology.
Tom pads
These pads usually have two trigger. A zone for the playing surface and an rim sound. The selection ranges from inexpensive and lightweight models made of solid rubber to larger models with a small shell.
