Universal Audio are known for high-quality audio interfaces and first-class plug-ins. With the new Volt series interfaces , Universal Audio is now making this quality accessible to lower budgets.
The interfaces are connected via USB-C and are compatible with Mac, PC, iPad and iPhone. The three smallest models are the Volt 1 , Volt 2 and the Volt 4 . The Volt 1 and Volt 2 interfaces offer one or two inputs and two outputs. Its bigger brother , the Volt 4, has 4 inputs and 4 outputs available. phantom power, direct monitoring and separate volume control for monitors and headphones are of course also on board. Thanks to the integrated Vintage Mic preamp Mod, the emulated sound of a classic, warm and harmonious tube preamp can be added at the push of a button.
In addition to the top panel controls, the Volt 176 , Volt 276 , Volt 476 and Volt 476P models also include an excellent emulation of the absolute legend 1176 compressor , developed by Universal Audio in the 1960s. This can be set to vocals, guitar or fast using three presets . The design of the Volt Audio Interfaces is, as you would expect from UAD, stylish and simple. The 76 models are particularly visually impressive with their real wood applications on the sides.
With the included software package , Universal Audio gives you some tools to realize high-quality productions. In addition to the Lite version of the popular DAW software Ableton Live , high-quality Marshall and Ampeg amplifier emulations as well as various instrument and effect plugins such as Spitfire Labs , Celemony Melodyne Essentials or LX480 Essential from Relab are also included.
