Universal Audio sind bekannt für hochwertige Audio Interfaces und erstklassige Plug-Ins. Mit den Interfaces der neuen Volt Serie macht Universal Audio diese Qualität nun für niedrigere Budgets zugänglich.
Die Interfaces werden über USB-C angeschlossen und sind mit Mac, PC, iPad und iPhone kompatibel. Die drei kleinsten Modelle sind das Volt 1, Volt 2 und das Volt 4. Die Interfaces Volt 1 und Volt 2 bieten einen bzw. zwei Eingänge und zwei Ausgänge. Bei ihrem größerer Bruder Volt 4 stehen 4 Eingänge und 4 Ausgänge zur Verfügung. Phantomspeisung, Direct Monitoring und separate Lautstärkeregelung für Monitore und Kopfhörer sind natürlich auch mit an Bord. Dank des integrierten Vintage Mic Preamp Mods kann per Knopfdruck der emulierte Klang eines klassischen warmen und harmonischen Röhrenvorverstärkers hinzugeschaltet werden.
Neben den Bedienelementen auf der Oberseite, beinhalten die Modelle Volt 176, Volt 276, Volt 476 und Volt 476P außerdem eine hervorragende Emulation der absoluten Kompressor-Legende 1176, der von Universal Audio in den 1960er Jahren entwickelt wurde. Dieser kann über drei Presets auf Vocals, Gitarre oder Fast eingestellt werden. Das Design der Volt Audio Interfaces ist, wie man es von UAD kennt, stilvoll und schlicht. Besonders die 76er Modelle überzeugen optisch mit ihren seitlichen Echtholz-Applikationen.
Mit dem beiliegenden Software-Paket, gibt dir Universal Audio einige Tools an die Hand, um hochwertige Produktionen zu realisieren. Neben der Lite Version der beliebten DAW-Software Ableton Live, sind auch hochwertige Marshall und Ampeg Verstärkeremulationen sowie diverse Instrumenten- und Effekt-Plugins wie Spitfire Labs, Celemony Melodyne Essentials oder LX480 Essential von Relab enthalten.

Founded in 1958 by Bill Putnam Sr., Universal Audio has always been synonymous with innovative recording equipment . A favorite engineer of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles and others, Bill was a passionate innovator who is considered the Vater of modern audio recording. Many of his legendary studio and equipment designs are still used today. B. Putnam was the inventor of the modern Sound console , des Multiband audio equalizer and he was the first engineer to artificial reverberation used in commercial recordings. Alongside his friend Les Paul, Bill was also involved in the early development of stereophonic recording.
Putnam, known as a busy entrepreneur, founded three audio product companies during his long career: Universal Audio , Studio Electronics and Urei . All three companies built equipment that was widely used upon introduction and would shape studio sound for generations. The boutique compressors LA-2A and 1176 and the 610 tube console are among these legends. With the 610 mixing console, greats like... Sinatra , the Beach Boys and Van Halen their studio albums.
