PRS guitars typically feature a mahogany body with a glued-on maple top, which usually shows a striking grain. The new SE Exotic special models, however, shine with entirely different woods that are no less impressive: the tops of these limited models are made from poplar burl (Poplar Burl), burled ash (Burled Ash), or laurel burl (Laurel Burl), each displaying its own distinctive wood figure.
