Line 6 – Spider V MkII
Hardly any name is as associated with digital modeling in the guitar sector as the Spider series from Line 6. With the new Spider V MkII models, the latest addition to modeling amps is presented. No less than 20 years ago, the first Spider amplifier came onto the market and opened the digital age in the electric guitar milieu. Due to their easy operation and the wide range of options when it comes to sound and effects, the amps in the Spider series are among the most popular entry-level amplifiers. Since the first model, Line 6 has continuously developed their amplifier , which is once again impressively demonstrated with the current Spider V MkII models. The amps offer 78 amp and 23 speaker models as well as 101 effects and 19 drum loops. 128 presets can be accessed via the free app. There is also an interface on board so you can record your game directly via a USB cable .
The smallest model is the Practice-Amp V 20 with 20 watts of power, an 8-inch loudspeaker and a clear and uncomplicated user interface. The next larger model, the V 30, offers 30 watts of power, an 8-inch full-range loudspeaker and connection options for footswitch, USB and iPhone/iPad. The 60-watt V 60 with 10-inch loudspeaker offers a little more. There is also a 60 second looper and a built-in wireless receiver, which makes it possible to play the guitar wirelessly via the amp with the separately available Relay G10T. The digital footboard FBV 3 can also be connected here. The top of the new Spider models are the V 120 and V 240 with 120 and 240 watts, respectively, sufficient for every location. 12-inch loudspeaker are installed here, and in the V 240 there are even two, which enables stereo output. There are XLR direct outs on the back of both models for easy connection options in the studio and on stage.
