Jackson MJ

The MJ in the name of the MJ series does not stand for Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan but for Made in Japan. These guitars are made there from the best materials by highly qualified and talented instrument makers. This means that the guitars of the MJ series are only below the guitars from the USA custom shop in the Jackson food chain.

In the MJ series, as well as in the USA custom shop, you will find handcrafted guitars of popular Jackson models such as Rhoads, Dinky and Soloist. All instruments in the MJ series are equipped with an ebony fretboard with a 12"-16" compound radius. The Rhoads guitars also get a high-gloss black finish with chrome hardware over an alder body with a 3-piece maple neck with neck-through construction / acoustic. Two Seymour Duncon humbuckers are also used. A JB-SH- in the bridge position and a Jazz SH-2N in the neck position.

The selection of Dinky models is significantly more extensive. 4 new models in a total of 6 finishes are available. From Ice Blue Metallic with alder body and 5-piece neck and DiMarzio pickups or Matte Black Ash on a mahogany body with ash top and Seymour Duncan pickups to the Transparent Blue Burst on mahogany body with Poplar Burl top and DiMarzio pickups. The decision here is quite difficult.

Ultimately, the Soloist guitars remain, here there are both high-gloss black and matt white finish options, both versions are equipped with pickups from Seymour Duncan .
