Fender Vintera III
All good things come in threes!
With the Fender Vintera III Series, one of Fender enters its third round and remains truer to its mission than ever: authentic reproductions of legendary Fender instruments from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
The story continues ...
As far as I remember – as the author of these lines – this is actually the first time Fender has devoted a third generation to a series. And that says a lot. Because only what has proven itself gets a reissue – and what musicians truly love.
The Vintera III models stand for era-specific details, historically correct specifications and authentic vintage pickups that capture the authentic look, the typical feel and the legendary Fender tone of each decade. Early, Mid or Late – each era brings its own characteristics: different neck profiles, fretboards, pickups, hardware details and of course the iconic finishes.
How do Early, Mid and Late models differ?
With the Vintera III series Fender dives even deeper into the legendary decades of its own history and presents instruments with authentic vintage specs, from Late ’50s, through Early and Mid ’60s, to the characterful Late ’60s models. On our era-specific subpages you'll find more info about the historically correct specs.
The vintage code of the Vintera III
in our video studio!
Olli grabbed the new models and put them under the microscope in the video studio. Because if anyone can explain why a ’50s Maple Neck feels completely different from an Early ’60s slab rosewood fretboard or why a Late ’60s Stratocaster has its own distinct character, it's him.
We'll show you how neck profiles, pickups, fretboards and hardware change depending on the era and, above all: how close do the new Vintera III guitars get to the real vintage feel?
Early, Mid, Late:
Discover all era-specific models of the Fender Vintera III series at a glance!
From the Late ’50s Stratocaster with a one-piece maple neck to the Early ’60s models with slab rosewood fretboards and the characterful Late ’60s variant with a “F” neckplate – the differences are not only visual but clearly audible. The same applies to Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang as well as Precision and Jazz basses.
Vintage low end with authentic Fender DNA
The Fender Vintera III basses bring back the legendary Fender bass sound of the 60s and 70s – from warm Precision Bass grooves to the typical Jazz Bass growl. Authentic vintage specs, era-specific pickups and classic Fender details make every model a homage to the golden decades of bass building.
