The keyboard in the new Nord Piano 5 is equipped with triple sensors and the exclusive Virtual Hammer Action Technology . When they work together, they ensure a realistic touch that is similar to that of a grand piano.

The piano section has also received an update for an authentic piano sound . There are two piano engines available that can be used simultaneously in a layer or split configuration . The Nord pianos are equipped ex works with 120-note polyphony and 9 grand pianos, 9 pianos, 10 electric pianos, marimbas and many other sounds / tones . All sounds can be easily managed and even completely replaced using the Nord sound Manager . The storage space has been doubled compared to the previous generation. Also in the Sample Synths section is the new Unison function . It can be used to creatively blend multiple sample voices to create bombastic, ensemble-like sounds . And in order to accurately replicate the unique vibrato properties of many woodwind, brass and string instruments, the Nord Piano 5 is equipped with the Tru-Vibrato function . Until now, the vibrato effect was part of the sample. Now it is added by the instrument and can therefore be changed in many ways and adapted to personal taste.

To give the sounds the finishing touches, the effect section is available. It offers a large selection of high-quality stereo effects that are emulated based on classic floor effects. An effect can be assigned to each layer in both the piano and sample synth sections as required and can be conveniently edited directly on the finish . In summary, the Clavia Nord Piano 5 can be used to create a variety of sound combinations, giving both studio and live keyboardists an impressive creative tool. The red newcomer from Clavia is available in a version with 73 keys and as a flagship with 88 keys .
