The Yamaha company presents its new on-the-go command center called SEQTRAK . The compact device is a standalone music production tool . Inside, the creative tool combines all the necessary elements needed for today's modern productions.
Small but mighty!
The handy SEQTRAK combines a step sequencer, a drum machine, synthesizer, sampler and mixing functions in a compact, battery-operated device that also offers a microphone and loudspeaker . This equipment makes SEQTRAK ideal as a travel companion for musicians and producers who want to capture ideas wherever they are.
The basis of music production with SEQTRAK is the sequencer with its dynamic and intuitive control options. There are six pattern slots for each track, which you can switch between to get more variety in the music. The sequencer and its subdivisions form the framework on which the various sounds are hung. This creates the basis for recordings, live performances or production on the go.

The first section of the Yamaha SEQTRAK is the drum section with seven tracks : kick, snare, clap, two hi-hats and two percussion sounds. Each of these tracks can be equipped with high-quality sounds from the extensive library. The sound library currently includes over 2,000 sounds across all SEQTRAK instruments and will be expanded with additional sound packs in the future. It is also possible to load samples from other users via the SEQTRAK app. These sounds are then arranged on the step sequencer with up to 128 steps , 16 of which are displayed using the corresponding buttons.

Yamaha SEQTRAK includes an impressive sounding synthesizer section. Three synthesizers and a sampler can be used at the same time. The first two synths utilize Yamaha 's hugely versatile AWM2 engine with 128x polyphony . The third synthesizer is called DX and brings back the characterful sounds of the classic Yamaha synth with a four-operator FM engine . All synthesizers can be switched between Mono , Poly and Chord modes to suit the needs of the application . Seven keys are available for playing melodies or chords and can be adjusted in terms of scale and root note
In Keyboard mode, the step sequencer keys become a chromatic keyboard. There is even an arpeggiator on board. The sampler places a sound from the library on each of the seven keys. Alternatively, SEQTRAK can record and sample your own sounds , either from an external source, via USB, re- sampling or with the built-in microphone . SEQTRAK's amount of capabilities is remarkable, especially given its compact form factor.
sound Design & effect Section:
Fine-tuning the sound in one device!
All Yamaha SEQTRAK preset sounds can be further edited in the sound design area on the right. Parameters such as pitch , volume , pan position , attack , decay or filter can be adjusted depending on the selected sound. Further options open up through the effect section, which also enables reverb , delay , modulation effects and more. Distortion for a kick or compression for the whole mix - it's all there. No additional devices are required. With the SEQTRAK, complete songs can be produced from the idea to the final mix.

Dive even deeper into production
In order to find the right balancing between intuition and depth , Yamaha put a lot of thought into SEQTRAK's workflow. The SEQTRAK app for iOS and Android opens up even more extensive setting options and offers access to all parameters of the effects, drums and synthesizers. The app even includes a visualizer for user-friendly creation of interesting videos in which animated objects react to the music.
