Tube amplifier meets modern guitar setup
The CHUCK is not a classic modelling amp. Instead, a real high-voltage tube preamp works in the signal path, delivering the feel and dynamics of a traditional tube amplifier. At the same time, modern digital technology greatly expands the CHUCK's possibilities: onboard effects, storable presets, realistic IR cab simulations as well as a Direct-Out for stage and studio provide maximum flexibility in any setup. This gives you classic guitar tone combined with the convenient features of modern technology.
Effects
The Underdog CHUCK brings a selection of high-quality effects built in. Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Wah, Boost and an integrated Noise Gate give you everything you need for versatile guitar tones – without an additional pedalboard. The effects are intuitive to control and can be perfectly tailored to your personal sound. That way you always have your complete effects setup at hand.
Presets
With storable presets you can recall your favourite sounds at any time. Whether Clean, Crunch or High-Gain – once set, complete sound setups including effects and settings can be saved. Using a footswitch or MIDI you can switch instantly between different presets and be perfectly prepared for any song situation.
IR cab simulation
Thanks to integrated impulse response technology (IR) the CHUCK simulates realistic guitar cabinets and mic placements. This makes your signal sound authentic and punchy even without a connected guitar cabinet. Ideal for direct recording in the studio or for use through the PA – with professional cab sound that can be adjusted flexibly.
Direct-Outs
The direct-out lets you send your signal directly to a PA, an audio interface or a mixing desk. In combination with the integrated cab simulation you get a finished guitar sound without having to mic a cabinet. That saves setup time, ensures consistent sound quality and is especially practical for live gigs and recording sessions.

The Underdog CHUCK can be flexibly integrated into almost any guitar setup. Via the speaker out for guitar cabinets (4, 8 or 16 ohms) you can drive it in the classic way with a speaker cabinet, while the XLR direct out with cab simulation delivers a finished signal directly to the PA. For recording there's also an integrated USB audio interface, and thanks to the headphone jack silent practice is always possible. This makes the CHUCK equally suited for live gigs, home recording and silent practice.

The Underdog CHUCK is not a fragile studio toy, but a real workhorse for stage and rehearsal. Its compact floor-format and the sturdy aluminium chassis make it a reliable companion for rehearsal, stage and tour. The Underdog CHUCK stands for thoughtful engineering and high-quality craftsmanship. Designed and manufactured in Germany, it combines precise electronics engineering with a clear focus on sound quality, reliability and durability. Every detail is designed to give guitarists a powerful yet practical tool for stage, studio and rehearsal room.
The idea behind CHUCK
The development of CHUCK began with a simple question: Why is there no compact solution that combines genuine tube sound with the flexibility of modern effects technology?
Developed from first-hand experience
The developer behind the concept is himself a guitarist and electronics engineer. From his own experience he knew how difficult it can be to combine classic tube tone with modern features such as presets, effects and direct outs – especially in a compact format for the pedalboard.
From concept to product
From this idea the CHUCK finally emerged: a device that unites traditional amplifier technology with modern digital control and offers guitarists a flexible solution for stage, studio and rehearsal room.
Pedalboardamps sind total angesagt - man muß keine großen und schweren Verstärker schleppen und hat den kompletten Amp direkt auf dem Pedalboard. Der Underdog Chuck Amp hat einiges zu bieten - echte, mit Hochspannung betriebene Röhrenvorstufe, Class - D Endstufe und digitale Effekte und ebenfalls digitale Steuer- bzw. Speicher Möglichkeiten. Mit an Bord sind IR Speakersimulationen (12 Werks IRS und 20 Slots für Fremd IRs) und Amp Simulationen für DI Betrieb. Alle Effekte sowie der 3-Band EQ mit semiparametrische Mitten lassen sich intuitiv mit einem Encoder Poti und dem Graphic Display editieren, ein internes Noise Gate unterdrückt evtl. Störgeräusche, ein Stimmgerät ist ebenfalls mit an Bord. Der FX Loop kann entweder seriell oder parallel betrieben werden. Es stehen auch eine USB Schnittstelle für Firmware Updates und zum Laden von IRs und eine MIDI Schnittstelle für externe Schaltvorgänge zur Verfügung.
