The Gremlin from Tone King is a 5-watt all-tube amplifier that is particularly aimed at fans of American Vintage sound . Two channels are available for this. The Rhythm Channel offers the crystal-clear and high-frequency sound of a classic blackface amp. If you want a little more, the lead input delivers the creamy distortion of a tweed-style amp. With its two controls for tone and volume, the Tone King Gremlin clearly represents a direct plug and play approach - the right sound is found and ready for use in seconds. Thanks to the built-in Ironman II attenuator, the output power can be regulated down while maintaining the same sound , which makes the Gremlin a reliable companion, both when practicing at home and when playing with a band. Using an optionally available foot switch, you can switch between the two channels without reconnecting the instrument cable. The Tone King Gremlin is available as a combo, in a enclosure with a specially tailored 12" Eminence speaker, or as a top part. The perfect complement to the latter variant, both visually and sound-wise, is the Imperial 112 MkII with its 12" Custom Celestion 1660 Speaker. This impresses with complex overtones, a pronounced mid-range and detailed highs and is handmade at Tone King in the USA.
Tone King from Baltimore, USA, is a manufacturer of Vintage tube amplifiers founded in 1993 by Mark Bartel . The most popular are the heads and combos from the Imperial and Gremlin series . In addition to the high-quality amplifiers, Tone King is particularly known for the much-praised Ironman Attenuator , which maintains the sound characteristics of the amplifier in great detail even at low power .
