This sound still shapes today. A 12-string dreadnought, like the Sigma DM12E, has that piercing sound. The sound is reinforced by the top made of solid Sitka spruce. Thanks to the mahogany bottom and sides and matt, thin finish, the guitar has a warm and gentle sound. The instrument is rounded off by a Sigma pickup system. Sigma DM12E:
