The secret ingredient behind the success of the brass instruments from the Schagerl workshop in Hörsdorf, Austria is the close collaboration with well-known musicians. From the very beginning they have been guided strictly by those musicians' needs when developing their trumpets and trombones. In recent years that has mainly involved the players of Mnozil Brass, a brass ensemble causing a sensation across Europe and well beyond the brass-music scene. But the trumpeters of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonics are also regular customers. Schagerl's trademark is the rotary-valve trumpet, made in a Perinet-style form, which also makes these instruments unmistakable at greater distances. To this day Schagerl remains a small but excellent brass workshop, anchored in family hands for over 50 years. They don't produce large quantities, but their instruments are all the more sought-after. Session is proud to be counted among the few exclusive Schagerl dealers in Germany.
