The Sandberg Forty Eight Special VM-4 EB BK HCA from the Braunschweig bass manufacturer has an alder body and a screw-on maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. Furthermore, VM pickups with metal caps were installed (1 x power humbucker and 1 x Sandberg split coil PU). The Sandberg bass company was founded in 1987 by Holger Stonjek and a business partner in Braunschweig.
