Product information
Small, powerful and affordable in price: The new Roland JD-Xi combines real analog sound synthesis and Roland's recognized SuperNATURAL sound synthesis with a variety of creative tools - all in one device. Equipped with 37 mini-keys, this compact instrument delivers fat, warm analog bass and lead sounds. The JD-Xi features extensive controls for real-time editing, as well as polyphonic PCM sounds such as pads, strings, brass and more. With the pattern sequencer and the built-in drum kits, loops can be generated in a flash. The gooseneck mic combined with the built-in vocoder and AutoPitch function make the JD-Xi a versatile synthesizer with great sounds and lots of fun. With its unique crossover sound engine, the JD-Xi represents the best of both worlds: the warm, smooth sound of classic analog and the clarity and versatility of modern digital. The newly developed monophonic analog synthesizer section supports sawtooth, triangle and square waveforms with pulse width modulation and an analog filter as well as an independent sub-oscillator for low-end power. The two digital synthesizer sections offer 128-note polyphony as well as a wide selection of SuperNATURAL synth sounds, including pads, strings, electric piano, sound effects and much more. About Roland

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various music materials and studio technology on April 18, 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to come onto the market were the first rhythm machines from the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a significant influence on both techno and electro music, as well as hip hop scene. The JC-120 Jazz chorus guitar amplifier was also created in the mid-1970s, and both Andy Summers from The Police as well as Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica were audibly impressed by its ultra-clear sound in conjunction with the built-in chorus effect . Since then and to this day, Roland has continuously expanded its catalog with high-quality and interesting products in a wide variety of fields such as digital pianos, groove boxes, e-drums and synthesizers.
