About Ibanez AZ

The high-quality electric guitars from the Ibanez AZ series are aimed at both beginners and advanced guitarists who appreciate a modern look, special playability and an assertive tone.

The different solid-body electric guitars in the series have been produced by Ibanez since 2018, but are already very popular today.

The reason for this is certainly the completely new body shape of the AZ series. If you take a closer look at the body, you will find similarities with the iconic ST form , rather than with the RG silhouette that is otherwise typical of Ibanez . Besides the body, the main difference between the RG and AZ series is that most RG's are equipped with a double-locking Floyd-Rose tremolo system, while the AZ series electric guitars are equipped with a synchronized tremolo in the Fender-Style without locking nuts . The oval C-shape neck profile , the 12" fretboard radius and the neck-body transition are responsible for playability that is as quick as it is agile, even in the high registers.

The AZS series then goes one step further and offers its players, in addition to the already well-known features of the series, tremolo and hardtail variants . Compared to other tremolo versions, both AZS models use a metal plate for the bridge pickup to obtain the typical clear, fat and "twangy" tone that is so typical of this type of guitar.

How popular the model series is is shown by the many artist models , such as Martin Miller, Andy Timmons, Mario Camarena, Marco Sfogli, Scott LePage and Tim Henson, which are part of the AZ series .

In 2021, the AZ series was expanded to include the AZ Essentials (AZES) series . With the sub-series, more affordable guitars can now be found in the lineup. The philosophy behind the AZES series is to bring the tone, versatility and playability of this acclaimed series to a wider range of beginner and intermediate players. To make playing the guitar and the learning process easier and more enjoyable, the AZES series is equipped with a Mono unit output jack , a 250 mm fretboard radius and round comfort bridge saddles .

About Ibanez

The Japanese instrument manufacturer Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass building. While Ibanez initially stood out with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender , independent series gradually came onto the market, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s, the manufacturer made a name for itself, especially in the heavy sector, with its instruments that shone with modern features, individual design and excellent playability. Innovations such as the 7- and 8-string guitars, which emerged from the fruitful collaboration with artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, did the rest to establish Ibanez 's good reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, ranging from entry-level guitars and basses to unusual custom shop models. Ibanez also knows how to impress when it comes to effects devices and amplifier model , as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. With us you will find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
