Reinterpretation of a bestseller
Based on the Guild bestselling OM-240E, the OM-250E offers the same unbeatable design, construction / acoustic and value, but with an upgrade to rosewood bottom and sides. This medium-sized, orchestra- form acoustic guitar is equally suitable for flatpicking and fingerpicking, producing a rich and balanced tone with smooth playability.
Featuring classic design elements treasured by players throughout the company's 70-year history, the Guild OM-250E is an acoustic guitar for players that offers incredible value for money. Construction features include a solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped X-bracing, an archback body design, bone nut and bridge inlay, a Guild x Fishman GT-1 pickup system and a tortoise pickguard.
Archback construction / acoustic
As a manufacturer of high-end archtop guitars, Guild was the first manufacturer to introduce back arching to acoustic guitars - a technique that sets Guild guitars apart. This archback construction / acoustic allows the following:
- Better Projection - a deeper and contoured body that improves projection.
- Weight reduction - no back bracing, reducing weight and improving resonance.
- Stability - the curvature provides structure and thickness and increases stability.
Fishman x Guilt GT-1 pickup system
With the Fishman S-Core Piezo and volume and tone controls mounted in the soundhole for easier operation , you can enjoy your acoustic sound on the amplifier , without drilling holes in the rib or affecting the acoustic body design.
Guild OM corpus
Guild 's OM body shape sits right in the middle of the body sizes in the Guild acoustic range: smaller than a Dreadnought body (D) and larger than a Concert body (M). It is equally suitable for strumming and fingerpicking and produces a warm, balanced tone. OMs are one of the most popular body shapes for acoustic guitars, and combined with a 25.5"scale length (648 mm), the OM-250E is the perfect and comfortable choice for the versatile musician.
Guild Lightweight Satin finish
The Guild Lightweight Satin finish creates an ultra-thin satin finish that is particularly light and durable. At first glance you can see open pores without heavy fiber fillings or excessively thick finish that prevent the guitar from vibrating. Guitars with this finish are known for their warm, woody sound . The Lightweight Satin finish creates a natural and smooth coating with a subtle grain texture.
