Mit der California Traditional Serie erweitert Fender sein umfangreiches Sortiment von akustischen Gitarren. Hierbei handelt es sich um traditionelle Versionen der California Serie. Die California Traditional Gitarren sind in drei unterschiedlichen Varianten erhältlich. Die Player-Serie richtet sich eher an Einsteiger, überzeugt aber dennoch mit einem Korpus aus Mahagoni und einer massiven Fichten Decke. Die Classic- und Special-Serie richten sich an die Fortgeschrittenen unter euch. Dabei unterscheiden sich die beiden Serien hauptsächlich durch das Material der Decke. Bei der Classic-Serie ist diese aus massiver Fichte, bei der Special-Serie hingegen aus massivem Mahagoni. Die einzelnen Varianten sind zudem in drei verschiedenen Korpusformen erhältlich. Zum einen die etwas kleinere Malibu, das Mittelgewicht in Form der Newport und zuletzt die Dreadnought Redondo.
