Product information

There are few guitars as famous as Eddie Van Halen's favorite 6-string companion, affectionately known as "Frankenstein." This guitar was Eddie's attempt to combine the sound of a classic single-cut solidbody guitar with the physical characteristics and tremolo bar functionality of an ST-style guitar. The EVH Frankenstein "Frankie"series pays homage to Eddie Van Halen's iconic red, black and white Frankenstrat guitar - with a worn Relic finish to match the design.

Made from a solid piece of basswood, this solid body electric guitar offers a robust, rich sound. A Wolfgang humbucker provides Eddie's classic tone, especially when the guitar is played through a high- gain amplifier . Featuring a slim Quatersawn maple neck and a fast-playing compound-radius maple fretboard , this guitar was born to shred. The Floyd Rose D-Tuna positioned on the body allows you to imitate Eddie's signature tremolo with ease and gives you instant access to Drop D tuning. The EVH Frankenstein Series models boast that classic Van Halen vibe, but most importantly, they offer an aggressive sound and lightning-fast playability.

About EVH

Behind the abbreviation EVH is none other than guitar god Eddie Van Halen himself. Early in his career he built his own guitars, such as the legendary Frankenstein, and later teamed up with Peavey to build the groundbreaking 5150 guitar amp. A few years ago, Eddie entered into a collaboration with Fender , and this resulted not only in what is now the third version of the 5150 guitar amplifier, but also in the various versions of his perfectly thought-out and crafted Wolfgang electric guitars. In addition to occasional reissues of legendary guitar models, such as the current Striped Series, there are lots of great accessories, such as the Frankenstein humbucker, pots and guitar picks. We are already looking forward to the next news from EVH and Van Halen!
