Die Duesenberg Kalico erinnert mit ihrer stylischen Art Deco Optik stark an die klassischen Lapsteel Gitarren der 30er und 40er Jahre. Man darf sich aber nicht von der Optik täuschen lassen - hier hat sich Duesenberg so richtig etwas einfallen lassen um die eingeschränkten Möglichkeiten einer 6 saitigen Lapsteel enorm zu erweitern. Mit der Multibender Bridge lassen sich die von der Pedal Steel bekannten Bendings komfortabel per Handballen auslösen, ein weiteres Highlight ist der Easy Shift Capodaster mit dem sich blitzschnell alternative Tunings verwirklichen lassen. Auch die Elektrik kann sich sehen lassen: ein Duesenberg SplitKing Humbucker für kraftvollen Humbucker- und authentischen Single Coil Sound.

Duesenberg Guitars was founded in 1995 by Dieter Gölsdorf in Hanover. The manufacturer's beautiful guitars refer to the 40s and 50s and the Art Deco era. It all started with the Starplayer electric guitar model , which is still one of the company's bestsellers today. But the instruments are not just based on nostalgia: innovative parts such as the comfortable Z- tuner, the third pickup screw in the frame so that the pickup can be adjusted precisely to the strings or the Duesenberg Deluxe tremola.
