One of the standout features of these basses is the use of the fanned-frets design. In this construction, the frets are set into the fingerboard at angles so that the scale length of the lower strings is longer than that of the higher strings. This results in more sustain and improved intonation for the lower notes.
Dingwall also specializes in the production of 5- and even 6-string basses, making them a must-try for fans of extended range instruments.
In addition to high-end models like the Dingwall Afterburner or the Dingwall D-Roc Custom 5 String Gold, we also offer a wide selection from the more affordable Combustion Series. Here, North American woods and components are sent to China for assembly and further processing. Final setup and inspection take place at Dingwall’s headquarters in Saskatoon, Canada.
