The D-Roc series from the renowned manufacturer Dingwall offers electric basses in a very special, modern style. You want to buy a bass with more than the usual four strings or are you looking for a rather unusually designed instrument? Then the bass guitars from the Canadian maker Dingwall Designer Guitars are definitely worth a look.
One special feature of these basses is the use of fanned-fret construction (fanned frets). The frets are set into the fretboard so that the scale length of the low strings is longer than that of the high strings. This gives the low strings more sustain and a tone that is more pitch-accurate.
In addition, Dingwall specialises in the production of 5- and even 6-string basses – an absolute must for fans of extended-range instruments.
Alongside absolute high-end basses like the Dingwall Afterburner or the Dingwall D-Roc Custom 5 String Gold, you'll also find many models from the affordable Combustion series with us. Here, North American woods and components are sent to China for assembly and further processing. Final setup and inspection are then carried out again at Dingwall's main headquarters in Saskatoon, Canada.
