Product information
Handcrafted in Vienna, each OC7 undergoes the strictest quality controls before it is delivered. The heart of the new microphone is the OCC7 small diaphragm capsule, which is also handmade in Vienna. The in-house development and production enable perfect coordination with the respective application.
In the usual Austrian Audio manner, the OC7 is not just another instrument microphone, but also has a few special features. The most noticeable thing is the “Swivel Joint” mechanics. To make positioning the instrument microphone easier, Austrian Audio's engineers have developed a suspension for the microphone basket that allows it to rotate 220°. This means that the microphone can be precisely aligned with the sound source or depending on your personal sound preferences without having to laboriously adjust or loosen the microphone stand. Various annoyances such as microphones falling off or fingers getting pinched on the microphone stand are now a thing of the past.
The open and transparent sound makes the OC7 a very flexible instrument microphone. Due to the strengths of the OCC7 small diaphragm capsule, handcrafted in Vienna, it is suitable for all instruments that have particularly lively transients. This includes all types of percussion instruments including snare and toms on drums, but also piano and acoustic guitar. Thanks to its open, silky sound , it is also ideal for string instruments.
