Jens Rupp is known as the author of successful piano and keyboard schools as well as numerous piano playbooks. With this experience and almost 30 years as a piano teacher, he has created a new piano school that enables a child-friendly, playful and easy introduction to the world of piano playing. “The PianoStarter for Children” is a piano school for beginners that was specially designed for children aged 6 and over. The methodical concept, with its logically structured structure and carefully coordinated lessons, quickly leads to audible and motivating experiences of success on the piano, even with a small amount of practice.

With the “PianoStarter” children have the opportunity to discover their musical talent and learn to (love) playing the piano in a simple way. A total of 100 pieces - well-known songs (with lyrics) and beautiful original compositions, exercises, explanations, fingering pictures and other orientation aids gently and playfully convey the basics of making music on the piano. This piano school also offers parents the opportunity, whether with or without a piano teacher, to learn to play the piano and at the same time find out how much joy playing the piano brings their child.

“The PianoStarter for Children” is limited to the key of C major and initially to the tones of the basic position of C major. In the treble clef these are the notes c', d', e', f', g' and in the bass clef the notes c, d, e, f, g. Towards the end of school, the pitch range in the treble clef is expanded to include the notes a', b' and c'', while in the bass clef two more notes, the capital B and the small a, are added. The careful approach is intended to avoid any excessive demands on your child, so that child-friendly and didactically valuable learning is possible.
