“My Most Beautiful Christmas Songs for Piano” is a collection of the most popular Christmas songs in beautiful-sounding and simple arrangements. The pieces, with the accompanying lyrics, are intended to be played, accompanied and sung along and are a festive companion for the Christmas season. The album contains a total of 24 well-known Christmas songs, which are suitable for beginners and advanced players alike. 10 of the pieces included are offered in two type - once in a simple, easy-to-play version (for beginners) and also in a slightly more demanding version (for advanced players). The 14 other Christmas songs are also in the easy to slightly demanding range and can be played well in the second and third year of lessons.
The keys are limited to the “easy” (and easy to sing) keys of C major, F major and G major. The melodies usually pitch range from an octave (8 tones) to a decimetre (10 tones). Playing techniques for the right hand, such as spreading the fingers, changing fingers on the same key as well as sub- and translating, should therefore already be known. As a beginner, you should initially limit yourself to playing the melody in the right hand during the first year of lessons.
