10 romantic compositions for all pianists who would like to play pieces that are demanding and sound extremely beautiful. Modern melodies from films and musicals shape today's musical tastes. The aim of the “Piano Fantasies” is to offer additional literature on the already known pieces in order to have even more fun and variety while playing the piano.
Musical elements from a wide range of eras, from Baroque to Romanticism and Impressionism to jazz and pop, combine imaginatively to create something new. Important technical skills can be acquired, such as the independence of both hands through rhythmic shifts, countermovements and syncopations as well as the elaboration of the melody. The pieces in this book sound just as beautiful played slowly as they do at a fast tempo. The player is therefore not tied to fixed tempos, but has the opportunity to interpret the pieces independently depending on their ability and taste. For this reason, tempo markings were omitted. Two of the “Fantasies” are also offered again in difficult keys (with the same fingering).
