In this sequel, what has already been learned will be further deepened and the playing skills and theoretical knowledge will gradually be expanded. “My second keyboard school!” consists of three parts: In the first part, the keys C major and A minor are repeated and the new keys G major and F major are introduced. In the second part, playing the left hand is not just limited to chords. The bass clef is introduced to enable variable playing of the left hand, which provides further variety. The piano playing style is taught very simply, and the skills of the left hand and coordination are expanded. This leads to new sound experiences. In the third part, more keyboard pieces are learned and the new keys are consolidated. The musical styles are diverse and range from pop, blues, rock to classical. There is also the option to play some pieces as a keyboard and piano version. The musical, harmonic connections become even clearer.

Jens Rupp has been working as a piano and keyboard teacher for over 30 years. With this experience, he has now created a textbook that combines his previous teaching methods and positive experiences as a teacher. With “My first keyboard school!”, its continuation “My second keyboard school!” and “My third keyboard school!”, a contemporary and didactically well thought-out school series has been created that is easy to understand and logically comprehensible for students and teachers.
