“Children's Hands on the Piano” enables children ages 3 and up to play beautiful pieces right from the start, alone or with a companion, without any prior knowledge. By singing the lyrics together, you get to know melodies and rhythms more quickly and, above all, more playfully. This makes the implementation on the piano easier, the fun of making music together is encouraged and the children really enjoy starting to play the piano!
The approach
In the children's voice, the notes have been replaced by picture notes/symbols and "confusions" in the music image, such as bar lines and time signatures, have been deliberately left out. Only the length of the notes is differentiated by “note with neck” and “note without neck”. On the side of the accompanying part, the respective piece (in the four-hand set) is also notated again (the sides of the notes as well as the melody and accompanying parts are swapped - this is used to change the position and sitting position). Some useful aids contained in the book also make it easier to get to know the piano keys in the 5-finger range (violin and bass clef) and in this way you are already prepared for reading correct music. The little pianists are introduced to the material carefully, motivated and with the right amount of fun.
