Boogie Woogie Starter: The easy introduction to boogie and blues improvisation (including audio download)
“Boogie Woogie Starter” is a textbook that introduces the basics of boogie woogie playing and the associated blues improvisation. In addition to the typical bass figures of the left hand, Michael Gundlach shows how easy it can be to improvise your own boogie song with just three notes in your right hand. Building on this, the improvisation with four or five tones is explained. The easy-to-understand theoretical patterns enable uncomplicated access to blues improvisation. For the 14 pieces in this piano school, professional band playbacks were created in two versions, with a piano as a listening example and as a playalong to play along with. This means you can practice solo piano and playing with a real band. The systematic structure makes the school ideal for both modern piano lessons and self-study. The level ranges from easy to medium and is suitable for pianists with 3 years or more of playing experience.
