SOUND
MPC Key 37 comes with a sound and sample collection from Akai MPC, which is an industry standard plugin. Get started straight away with 8 plugin instruments, including Hype, Odyssey, Mellotron and more, as well as over 8GB of production-ready samples and drum kits, which together offer more than 1000 production-ready presets . Each plugin instrument enables advanced synthesis, in-depth parameter editing and effects to program exactly the sounds your production needs. With 32GB of internal storage space (and even more via SD card and USB storage) there is enough memory to expand your sample and instrument collection as you wish.

MPC Key 37 includes more than 100 powerful, studio-quality effects for creative production and mixing. MPC Key 37 also includes the latest vocal effect plugins that can be used for pure vocals or in creative sound design.
CONTROL SURFACE
The MPC Key 37 has a synth-action keyboard with aftertouch as well as dedicated pitch and modulation wheels. The synthesizer-style keyboard is designed specifically for musicians and producers, with a responsive feel for building basslines, creating rocking synth leads, and more. The 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads are identical to those of the MPC One+, including access to the renowned MPC Time Correct, Swing and Quantize features that continue to inspire the best producers in the industry. MPC Key 37 has a built-in 2 In / 2 Out USB audio/ midi interface so you can record audio and midi directly to and from the computer. The included MPC2 software is a standalone DAW for your Mac or PC, giving you tactile control over your hardware with as many tracks as your computer can handle. The MPC2 software also works as a VST / AU plugin for all major DAWs such as FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One and others.

The music division of AKAI PROFESSIONAL became known with its S/Z series samplers. The rack samplers S612, S900 to S6000, Z4 and Z8 might mean something to some. However, the models of the MPC series - originally called midi Production Center - were more decisive and formative for generations.
MPC – Birth of a Legend
MPC now stands for Music Production Center. However, the concept of these workstations has endured. A musical instrument that combines sampling with a sequencer. The American Roger Linn developed the MPC-60 with AKAI PROFESSIONAL . The model was released on December 8, 1988 and cost $5,000. Further developments followed with the MPC-60 MKII and the MPC-3000 in 1994. Producers and DJs swore by the unmistakable sound and the unique MPC groove. The devices became a myth. Roger Linn ended his collaboration with AKAI PROFESSIONAL. In 1997 the MPC-2000 (XL) came onto the market, followed by the MPC-1000, the 2500 and the flagship MPC-4000.
