Electronic instruments don't sound their best without suitable amplification. A good keyboard amplifier can fulfil several roles: in the rehearsal room or on smaller stages it provides the proper sound reinforcement. When it's linked to a PA on a large stage, it can serve as the keyboard player's personal monitor. The advantage of such multifunctional units is obvious: you always hear exactly the sound you're used to and have rehearsed with.

Keyboard amplifiers come in different sizes and with varying power ratings. For example, there are combo amplifiers that can amplify several electronic instruments at once. But standalone amps, which are particularly suited as monitors, can also be a good choice. Roland devices are well known here.

Channels and tweeters for brilliant sound

When choosing a keyboard amplifier, let your ear rather than your eyes decide. Depending on the style you play, certain tonal emphases are important. The number of channels is crucial for how well the outputs can be mixed. Tweeters emphasise and sharpen the higher frequency range. Also pay attention to the type and number of inputs and outputs. They determine how the keyboard amplifier can be used. A headphone output can be very helpful, both during the final rehearsals before a gig and for the soundcheck.

Headphone outputs and CD inputs are certainly important criteria if the keyboard amplifier is to be part of a DJ setup. With the appropriate accessories the DJ can control transitions between music passages directly at the amp using knobs, so they hear in real time what the speaker produces.

How important is the amplifier's wattage?

When it comes to the amp/amplifier, power (watts) matters. Many music professionals advise choosing the wattage generously, because that way the amplifier will not lose sound quality even during long operation. When choosing power, you should also consider the power of the overall system.

Accessories include additional tweeters, for example from Korg, and many other components. For all products in our range the focus is on the best sound quality with optimal performance for every need.
