What is your purpose at session and how long have you been there?
I have been with session since November 15, 2018 and my purpose at session is the same as it has been for the last 28 years that I have been doing this job. I have turned my hobby into a profession and would like to pass on my experiences and collected impressions from being a musician to the customer so that the customer, as a fellow musician, is happy to come to the session to purchase his musical instruments. That is my goal.

What kind of instrument do you play?
I currently use a Yamaha Tyros, but plan to switch to the YAMAHA Genos series in the future. But I have also used KORG or Technics back then on stage.

How long have you been making music?
I have been a solo entertainer for 30 years now, but I have also been in various groups, such as the Rabbits or now with my family group, the “Dance Band Himmelblau”. Initially I learned the organ, but later also the drums.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
I have experienced and been through a lot in my life. Music has always helped me and given me strength as I began to write my own songs and process my experiences. I have always drawn my inspiration from a wide variety of genres, especially when it comes to rhythm.

What genre do you feel at home in?
Mainly in German Schlager. But as a drummer it tends to go in the other direction, so it can sometimes be a rock piece by AC/DC or Canned Heat. In principle, I'm open to any kind of music.

Tell us three of your favorite artists.
Franz Lambert has always been a great role model for me on the organ. In terms of singing, I would say Robbie Williams and Frank Sinatra, then we already have three.

Is there an album you would have liked to have played on?
Actually not, because I was always very determined and instead of covering something, I wrote my own songs.

Do you play in a band or something similar?
At the moment, as already mentioned, I only play in the family band. I've been making music on a larger scale for years and at some point it just became too much for me. Now I'm happy to have more time and to be able to make music with my wife and son.

What is your favorite piece of equipment?
This is definitely my Tyros.

The most important thing when making music is...?
…have fun with it. And from experience I can say that you should make music casually, otherwise the fun will quickly fall by the wayside. During my time as a professional musician, I often had to bend myself to such an extent that I lost the fun and ultimately stopped doing it.

Your specialty is the solo entertainer area. Can you tell us something about that?
Since I have already performed on various HR television programs, on cruise ships and on the radio, I know very well the needs and demands placed on solo entertainers and, thanks to my experience, I can give customers targeted advice, as well as further recommendations and tips express. This means I can probably offer a little more advice in this area than most salespeople.

Current favorite product from our range?
I actually like the Yamaha Genos the best in my department at the moment.
