Technics is a Japanese electronics company that was founded in 1965 and has been producing a variety of high-quality audio and video products ever since. The DNA of all Technics products is based on three fundamental philosophies: sound , technology and design .

One of the most important and successful product segments at Technics, which combines these three philosophies in its DNA, are record players.

Technics record players have long been the first choice not only for DJs when it comes to a smart work tool, but are also very popular among music and record lovers all over the world. One could also say that the legendary “Twelve Tens” and “Twelve Hundreds” from Technics have long since achieved cult status.

The two iconic Technics record players are identical, only their color scheme makes the difference. To get to the point, the SL-1210 is the black version and the SL-1200 is the silver version.

The twelve series was launched in 1972 and celebrated its 50th birthday in 2022. To mark the anniversary, the Technics company presented its legendary record players in seven different colors and a limited 50th Anniversary edition .
