The 900 series is Taylor's highest quality family of spruce and rosewood acoustic guitars and represents premium craftsmanship , tonal sophistication and aesthetic artistry . Made in the USA, these solid wood guitars are constructed from rosewood (Indian rosewood) and Sitka spruce, a long-time great tonewood combination prized by players for its balance, warmth, and articulation. It is also Bob Taylor's favorite combination. The balanced, warm and lively response is further enhanced by the V-Class bracing , which gives all models in the 900 series more volume and sustain. You can choose from the popular, versatile Grand Auditorium body and the compact Grand Concert . All models feature luxurious design equipment made from Hawaiian koa, paua and mother-of-pearl.
With the Grand Auditorium 914ce, the Grand Concert 912ce and two Builder's edition guitars, the 900 series offers features such as an ebony armrest , patented V-Class bracing and ultra-precise Gotoh 510 tuning machines . The Expression system 2 acoustic pickup and preamp provides a natural, amplified sound when you plug in your 900 acoustic guitar. Of course, all instruments in the series are delivered in a hard-shell case.
