The subsidiary of the popular Californian guitar manufacturer is presenting a completely new range of electric guitars and electric basses in 2023. The new line is titel Sonic and will follow in the footsteps of and replace the in-house Bullet series with improved quality and higher performance features .

The Sonic series from Squier follows the successful recipe of the previous series and continues to combine rock-solid workmanship, iconic sound and comfortable playing characteristics with an affordable purchase price. At the same time, the Sonic series raises the bar for quality and performance to a new level .

As befits a branch of the Fender company, the electric guitars and electric basses of the Sonic series can be played extremely well. This is due to slim, lightweight bodies and easy-to-play necks with a C-shape neck profile .
Another highlight of the series is the expansion of the range to include model variants with maple fingerboards . In combination with the chrome hardware and the die-cast tuning machines, the popular Vintage look is no longer just created with dark fingerboards.
The built-in pickup have also been upgraded and are now identical to the sound characteristics of the higher Affinity series . The Squier ceramic single-coil and humbucker pickups now deliver the typical Fender sound and are reminiscent of the mojo of days gone by and the sound of tomorrow.
There is something for all electric guitar players!
The Sonic series offers a wide variety of models. In addition to the absolute Fender classics Stratocaster and Telecaster , there is also an HSS-Strat and H-Strat, each with a split humbucker, as well as an Esquire-Tele , i.e. a Telecaster with just one bridge pickup . Also included is a Mustang model, either with two single-coil or humbucker pickups.
4-string electric basses for plenty of depth
In the electric bass range, the all-time favorite Precision Bass and the somewhat rarer but no less popular Bronco Bass are of course both available as 4-string versions.
Furious Fender colors
So that the new Sonic series from Squier can be seen from afar and immediately catches the eye, the series has been given a few great new colors . The color palette ranges from Ultraviolet, Torino Red and Flash Pink, to Tahitian Coral and California Blue, to true Fender classics such as 2-Tone Sunburst, Butterscotch Blonde and Black as well as Arctic White.
