Microphones and audio technology
Shure made its name above all with its legendary dynamic microphones Shure SM57 and Shure SM58. Who doesn't know the classic live vocal microphone with the ball-shaped grille? But their wireless systems, studio microphones and earphones as well as headphones also impress across the board.
Microphones for every application and location
The broad product range covers all instrument groups and vocals. A few examples:
In the studio microphone area Shure offers the versatile large-diaphragm microphone Shure SM-27. The small-diaphragm condenser microphone Shure SM-137 is known for its natural reproduction of amplified and acoustic instruments. In the studio or on stage many electric guitarists swear by the all-rounder Shure SM-57. With the Beta 91 A Shure offers a boundary microphone for recording low-frequency instruments such as a bass drum. It can also be used for piano and grand piano.
TIP: In our shootout video "The best electric guitar amp microphones!" we compare the Shure SM57 and SM7B with three other mics. The matching guide "The best microphones for electric guitar amplifiers tested at session" is available here.
For drums and percussion the Shure Beta 52 A or the Shure PGA56-XLR are often used. With the PGADRUMKIT6 you get a full drum microphone kit. If you want to record or amplify wind instruments, engineers and promoters often choose the Beta 98 or the PGA98H-XLR. Both are condenser microphones with clip mounts.
For speech and vocal microphones the mentioned classics are waiting: Shure SM7B, SM58 LCE, Beta 58 A and 55 SH. If you prefer a headset microphone, the SM31FH-TQG has proven itself.
As an affordable entry into wireless systems for speech and vocals the wireless microphone set Shure BLX24E/PG58-S8 Vocal or, for a bit more demanding needs, the GLX-D+ Dualband wireless system for vocals and instruments is available in our online shop.
In the area of in-ear headphones the Shure SE series offers the usual excellent Shure quality across various price ranges.
In-ear monitoring wireless systems
In the wireless systems area Shure offers several solutions with its PSM 200 and PSM 300 product ranges. As an example we can mention the PSM 300 P3TERA215CL-S8 stereo in-ear system. The wireless set consists of a bodypack receiver, a transmitter and an earphone and is ready to use straight away. If one transmitter is not enough, the offer is also available as a TwinPack Pro version. In our video Olli and Marc, Shure's product specialist, discuss the PSM 300 in more detail.
TIP: If you have general questions about the topic or the application of the 300 system, check out our free video tutorial: "In‑Ear Monitoring — what it is, what it does and how to find the right system".
In-ear monitors
We carry a range of in-ear monitoring earphones from Shure. The SE215 CL in-ear earphones offer excellent sound for just over €100. The set with a pouch and three foam and silicone eartips is available in our online shop. In the mid-range we recommend the in-ear models SE425-CL and SE535-CL. For those for whom only the best will do, we have the Shure in-ear earphones SE846 Gen 2 in our range.
