PRS SE Custom
The SE Custom models bring the original PRS design to the premium, more affordable SE instrument line. The SE Custom is played by internationally touring artists, professional musicians and aspiring players. It features a maple top, a mahogany bottom, a maple neck with a comfortable wide thin profile, a rosewood fretboard with bird inlays and the patented PRS molded tremolo. Their versatile sound comes from the 85/15 "S" pickups, which are equipped with a volume control, a push/pull tone controls and a 3-way switches for pickup selection.
The SE Custom 24 is a roadworthy, modern classic with outrageously good and fast playability and a wide range of sounds, making it a perfect workhorse. You can find more information under the model overview.

The Custom 24 was the first guitar introduced by PRS in 1985. The guitars consist of a mahogany body in a double-cut design with a laminated maple top . The glued neck is also made of mahogany with a rosewood fretboard with the characteristic Birds inlays. The PRS SE Custom is offered in two basic versions: Custom 24 and Custom 22, where the number after the designation represents the quantity of frets . With 22 or 24 frets and its ergonomically shaped horn , the SE Custom offers easier access to the higher registers compared to its famous models.
Electronics and hardware
At PRS, the pickup are always precisely tailored to the respective guitars, including the 85/15 "S" pickups that are installed in the SE Custom models. They deliver crystal clear tone with improved bottom and top end, making them perfect for modern sounds . The in-house tuning machines keep the tuning very precise without dampening the sound of the guitar. The patented PRS Vibrato system makes it easy to vary the sound of the guitar without having to compromise on tuning stability.

As the name suggests: With the rich selection of colors and grains, you really feel like you're in the custom shop! The striking flamed tops of the guitars are a real eye-catcher. Since the end of 2023, several models with a laminated quilted maple top have been available and look truly spectacular. In addition to classic colors like Black Gold Sunburst, there are also numerous exciting, modern finishes like Turquoise and Faded Blue.
