Martin OM-28

The OM-28 is one of the best-known Martin guitars and was already famous at its initial introduction in the 1930s for its balanced tone and its characteristic Herringbone binding. Since 1990 the OM-28 has been back in Martin Guitars' lineup and has gained numerous fans ever since.

Fundamentally, the OM-28's construction corresponds to the body dimensions of guitars in the 000 design. However, the OM features a longer scale length and a wider neck, which positively affects playability. Typically, the OM-28 consists of a Sitka spruce top (soundboard) with X-bracing and a body of Indian rosewood. There are, however, various Custom Shop and signature models that use other tonewoods.
