Martin D-45

The D-45 is the premium model from Martin Guitars and one of the manufacturer's most famous instruments. The model was first offered in limited numbers 1933–1942 and is based on the Martin D-28. The elaborate ornamentation of the instrument was not only an absolute novelty in guitar making at the time, but is still a real eye-catcher today.

Since 1968 the D-45 has been back in Martin Guitars' range and is now offered with a spruce top and a body of Indian rosewood. The binding, rosette and fretboard inlays are made of abalone, which gives the guitar its exclusive look. Martin Guitars offers various model versions with different inlay designs.

Its extraordinary appearance makes the D-45 an ideal companion for the stage. Many stars like John Mayer, Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix have already fallen in love with this guitar.
