Markbass CMD Series
Lightweight & powerful: electric bass combo amps for every situation!
The CMD series contains all electric bass combo amplifiers from Markbass. A combo combines one or more speakers with an amplifier in a single cabinet. If you remember, electric bass combos were associated with being heavy and bulky until the early 2000s. The game-changer was Markbass. Since the Italian company entered the market, the tide has turned.
The electric bass amps from the Markbass CMD series are especially popular with bassists because, alongside the unadulterated and powerful sound, they impress with a reduced weight and compact dimensions.
The reasons for this are well known:
- Neodymium speakers
- Class-D power amplifiers
- Switch-mode power supplies
Inside the CMD combo series there's currently a Little Mark IV amplifier installed. The exception is the Markbass CMD JB Players School. It is equipped with a Little Mark 250 Black Line. On the other models, the yellow control panel includes, in addition to Gain and Master, further controls for the line output, tone filters (VLE / VPF) and a brand new old-school filter which can cut the highs to create a nice rounded bass sound. Of course there is also a practical mute switch (also controllable via footswitch) and a four-band EQ on board.
