Instead of nails, the Deluxe uses screws, making maintenance and cleaning much easier. In addition, the construction has been made more airtight, resulting in improved response and greater playing comfort.

The Marine Band Crossover was specifically developed for modern playing styles. Its bamboo comb, made from laminated bamboo, is particularly stable, durable, and resistant to moisture.
