Fender Player II Electric Basses
The future of groove begins with a legend
For decades Fender basses have shaped the sound of music history. From Motown and classic rock to funk, punk and indie – the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass and the Mustang Bass have stood on the biggest stages and in the most legendary studios in the world. Now the Player II series brings Fender's iconic heritage into the present with modern features.
The new features of the Fender Player II series:
The special thing about the new Fender Player II electric basses is the range of updates that take playability, sound and looks to the next level. We'll give you a quick, no-nonsense run-down of what makes the new electric basses stand out.

Pickup update
First up for full output are the revised Alnico pickups. They deliver more definition, character and punch – whether you're after thick, warm lows or crisp highs.

Improved playability
Another highlight is the new "Rolled Fretboard Edges". These rounded edges give a played-in, smooth feel straight out of the box, so you'll feel comfortable right away.

New hardware
On top of that, the Player II line features improved hardware that provides more precise intonation and stable tuning — a proper upgrade. That makes the series' 4-string and 5-string models perfect for stage and studio.

Colours & Finishes
Last but not least, the look of a Fender bass shouldn't be overlooked: whether classic Fender vibes in Black, Polar White and 3-Tone Sunburst or modern finishes like Aquatone Blue, Birch Green and Hialeah Yellow – you decide which style suits you.
Timeless classics, redefined
We'll show you what the Player II series has to offer.
Precision Bass
The P‑Bass is regarded as the forefather of the electric bass. Since the 1950s it's been the foundation of countless hits. Powerful, direct, commanding – if you want to make a statement, this is your bass.
Jazz Bass
The Jazz Bass was born in 1960 as a response to the changing musical landscape. Slimmer neck, punchy highs, rich lows – perfect for players who want to shine with feel and technique.
Mustang Bass
The Mustang is the rebel among Fender basses. Since the late '60s it has brought its characteristic short-scale punch to music – from '70s garage rock to the indie sounds of the 2000s.
