Dingwall Combustion

When it comes to price- power , the Combustion series from Dingwall particularly stands out. With components and materials from North America and manufacture in China, these instruments form an unbeatable combination. In order to ensure the quality for which Dingwall is known, the instruments are sent to Canada after production where they are finally adjusted and checked.

The basses of the Combustion series consist of a 2 or 3-piece body made of swamp ash, a 5-piece maple neck and are equipped with 2 or 3 FD-3N pickups. These pickups are produced exactly according to Dingwall 's specifications and, thanks to the use of neodymium magnets, deliver a high output with a smooth but aggressive tone. The pickups are selected and adjusted via a collection of knobs. In addition to the usual volume and treble controls, the setting options also include an active 3-band EQ and an active/passive switches.

Nothing was left to chance when it came to the hardware either. The Combustion series uses extra-light tuner whose bore correspond to those of Gotoh and Hipshot tuners, making subsequent upgrades much easier. The bridge is an existing bridge/saddle system that has been further optimized with a custom riser system .

The basses in the Combustion series are not only available as 4-strings, there are both 5-string and 6-string versions of the lovingly crafted instruments. In addition, customers can choose from eight different but always high-quality finishes.
