Pacifica Standard Plus guitars were developed for a wide range of guitarists looking for an individual and distinctive sound . Based on newly designed alder bodies, a slim maple neck with a C-profile, rosewood or maple fingerboard, Reflectone pickups co-developed by Rupert Neve Designs and four vibrant color variants, the models deliver an exceptional sound and outstanding playability.
Modern design and high-quality features
Thanks to the guitar neck with a slim C profile, specially adapted neck foot area, a specially folded body and a fretboard with a 14" (350 mm) radius, the Pacifica Standard Plus is exceptionally easy and comfortable to play. A modern C-neck shape that ideally combines comfort and speed , combined with a satin finish , ensures a smooth and smooth playing experience. The contoured neck base ensures comfortable and easy playing on the upper frets. The alder body has been bevelled at the rim to significantly increase playing comfort.
The Yamaha Pacifica Standard Plus is available with either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood fingerboards are particularly valued for their warm tone and smooth response, while maple fingerboards, in comparison, provide a brighter tone with an immediate attack.
Pickups and hardware
The new Reflectone pickups were created in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs and transport a clear and articulate tone with a solid foundation and bright highs. In the HSS combination used, the pickups offer exceptional versatility, not least thanks to the coil splitting function .
The stainless steel frets are not only extremely durable, they also offer significantly less resistance when the strings bend. Gotoh locking tuner in combination with a Gotoh two-point tremolo system guarantee always smooth functionality and tuning stability.
Modern manufacturing techniques
Yamaha's acoustic design technology relies on scientific processes such as 3D modeling to develop milling techniques for woodworking that optimize body resonance as well as the transfer from vibrations between the neck and body.
Inspired by pop art and summer vibes
The selection of vibrant new color variants was the result of close collaboration between the Yamaha design teams in Hamamatsu, Japan and Los Angeles, USA. The paintwork was inspired by both Japanese city pop art and the sun-kissed vibes of Southern California.
