Apollo audio interfaces

Universal Audio 's Apollo interfaces are probably among the most popular audio interfaces in the music industry. The interfaces are characterized by their high audio quality, excellent workmanship and the comprehensive plugin catalog. All models in the Apollo series, from the entry-level Solo to the x16, have high-quality A/D and D/A converter as well as UAD-2 DSP processor technology, which enables virtually latency-free recordings, even when powerful plug-ins are used come. The Apollo series interfaces are available in two different designs. In addition to the studio-oriented rack models, more compact desktop versions are also available.

Desktop interfaces

Thanks to their more compact design, the desktop versions of the Apollos are particularly suitable for use in the home studio. The Solo , Twin and x4 models don't have to hide behind the studio models when it comes to sound quality. The Apollo Solo TB3 can also be easily used on the go thanks to the thunderbolt connection.

Also in rack format

For those of you who need even more capacity , the rack models x6 , x8 , x8p and x16 are ideal. These powerful interfaces have found their home in many recording studios around the world for years, and not without reason.

Apollo Heritage edition

The Apollo series interfaces are also available as a Heritage edition . These are identical in hardware to the standard interfaces. The Heritage Editions get additional plug-ins worth between €1,300 and up to €2,400. These plug-ins include full collections from Teletronix®, Pultec®, Helios® as well as a large selection of UA plug-ins. You can find out which plug-ins are included on the respective product pages. About Universal Audio

Pioneer in audio recordings for more than 50 years

Founded in 1958 by Bill Putnam Sr., Universal Audio has always been synonymous with   innovative recording equipment . A favorite engineer of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles and others, Bill was a passionate innovator who is considered the Vater of modern audio recording. Many of his legendary studio and equipment designs are still used today. B. Putnam was the inventor of the modern   Sound console , des   Multiband audio equalizer   and he was the first engineer to   artificial reverberation   used in commercial recordings. Alongside his friend Les Paul, Bill was also involved in the early development of stereophonic recording.
Putnam, known as a busy entrepreneur, founded three audio product companies during his long career:   Universal Audio ,   Studio Electronics   and   Urei . All three companies built equipment that was widely used upon introduction and would shape studio sound for generations. The boutique compressors LA-2A and 1176 and the 610 tube console are among these legends. With the 610 mixing console, greats like...   Sinatra , the   Beach Boys   and   Van Halen   their studio albums.
Universal Audio was re-founded in 1999 by Bill's sons James Putnam and Bill Putnam Jr. A twofold approach was planned: On the one hand, the classic analogue recording devices were to be faithfully reproduced in the tradition of his father; and on the other hand, the sound and spirit of Vintage analog technology should be in the   new digital recording tools   are used.

Impressive effects pedals for guitarists and special guitar recording tools such as the Universal Audio OX are now also part of the range and are extremely popular with fans of outstanding sound.
