Many of his legendary studio and equipment designs are still used today. B. Alongside his friend Les Paul, Bill was also involved in the early development of stereophonic recording.

All three companies built equipment that was widely used upon introduction and would shape studio sound for generations. The boutique compressors LA-2A and 1176 and the 610 tube console are among these legends. With the 610 mixing console, greats like...  Sinatra , the  Beach Boys  and  Van Halen  their studio albums.
