The revised system architecture enables a 60% faster start-up compared to previous models, significantly reducing the waiting time when switching on. In combination with the improved TouchView display, the KRONOS offers a modern and intuitive user experience.
Expanded sound library and new sounds
The new KRONOS comes with 256 additional sound programs that have been carefully designed to enhance musical creativity. These include an impressive Italian concert grand piano and the “Tine EP 1 Early”, an iconic electric piano sound that authentically reproduces the classic vintage sound. In addition, 128 programs have been selected from the optional KRONOS Sound Libraries, which were created in collaboration with leading sound designers and offer an inspiring expansion of the sound palette.
Backward compatibility and future updates
KORG attaches great importance to the longevity and backward compatibility of its products. All KRONOS models can utilize the diverse KRONOS Sound Libraries, protecting existing investments and facilitating future hardware upgrades. From the second half of 2025, KORG will offer an optional sound pack for users of the NAUTILUS and older KRONOS generations, which will make the new KRONOS sounds available on these models as well.
